How to sell on Hatiwal

1. Create a free account

   Sign up in the Hatiwal app for iPhone or Android, or here on hatiwal.com. The same account is used for buying and for selling.

2. Take clear photos

   Add up to 8 photos. Shoot in daylight, from several sides, and show any scratch or damage. The first photo is the one buyers see in the Bazaar.

3. Add a short video

   Optional: one video of up to 60 seconds. Show the item working, or turn it around so buyers see every side.

4. Describe it honestly

   Choose the category and the condition, then write a clear title and description. Say what is included, and what is not.

5. Set your price

   Write the price in afghani, Pakistani rupees, US dollars or euros. A fair price gets messages faster: look at similar items in the Bazaar first.

6. Pin the place on the map

   Choose where the item is. Buyers who search near that place will find it.

7. Publish

   Your listing goes live in the Bazaar. Listings that break the rules are taken down.

8. Answer buyers in the chat

   Buyers message you in the app and can make an offer. Agree on the price, then on a time and a public place to meet.

9. Meet in person

   Let the buyer look at the item and try it. Take the money only when you hand it over.

10. Mark it sold

    One tap marks the listing sold and takes it out of the Bazaar. After the sale, buyer and seller can review each other.

A shop gets its own page with up to 5 photos and one video. You post listings in the shop's name and can invite people to help you run it. You need a confirmed email address to open a shop.

Verify your identity in the app and buyers see a verified badge next to your name. Verified sellers are easier to trust.

Weapons, drugs, stolen goods and the other items on the prohibited list are not allowed on Hatiwal.
